Mrs. Carrie Small
Nurse/Parent/Office Specialist
Carrie Small has her Bachelors degree in Cellular Biology. After college, she led a laboratory for a small pharmaceutical company, whose purpose was to make antibodies for the National Institute of Health (NIH). She worked for the Navy Hospital in Bethesda Maryland for seven years researching the HIV virus. During that time, she also performed Clinical Trials on HIV patients as part of her research. She then switched to Bone Marrow research for a year before moving to Mississippi. Carrie moved to Mississippi in the spring of 2000 with her husband and two daughters. She decided to stay home and raise her babies until they were old enough to attend school. During that time, Carrie and her girls got to know the community by volunteering in the Cleveland community for many organizations and civic groups. The summer before her youngest daughter was to start at Hayes Cooper, Carrie received a phone call from Mrs. Hardy asking if she would join the Hayes Cooper staff as secretary.
