Ms. Pamela Martin
Library/Media Specialist
Pamela Martin is the library media specialist at Hayes Cooper Center. She is a life long resident of Renova, MS. She graduated from Delta State University in May of 1977. Her teaching career began at Pearman Elementary School where she taught for 14 years. She began as a media specialist at Hayes Cooper in 1991 when the school reopened. She had the opportunity to build a library media center. The media center has gone through many transformations and is now an up-to-date information lab.
Pamela attended the Delta Area Writing Project in the summer of 2004 and became a teacher consultant. She now works with the Young Writers Project through Delta State University. She has modeled lessons at other school districts in the delta. She has presented at state conferences on incorporating technology into the curriculum and collaborating with classroom teachers. She is currently working toward becoming National Board Certified. Her goal is to ensure that each and every child develop a love for reading.
