Mrs. Kathie Boone
Pre-Kindergarten Specialist
Mrs. Boone is happy to be a Hayes Cooper Center teacher! Her co-workers, administrators, and most importantly her children make teaching a rewarding practice. Delta State University is her alma mater. After working with the MS State Department of Human Resources for a couple of years, Mrs. Boone began teaching in 1982 in Natchez. Her first seven years of teaching were at Natchez High School, the Natchez Vocational Complex, and Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Then a move to Rankin County led her to teach the next 14 years at Northwest Rankin Elementary and Middle School. Mrs. Boone taught her first year in Cleveland at Parks Elementary before moving to Hayes Cooper. She is thrilled to be here working with such an awesome group of children and parents.
